welcoming micah.

Twelve days old.
Perfect in every way.
Big brother Jack got to hold Micah for the very first time.
He was so gentle and sweet.
I love all twenty little intermingling toes.
Beautiful family.
Sweet dreams, precious Micah.
You are blessed.

Thanks to my friend and fellow photog, Trisha for helping with this session!

project 52/9.

{express yourself}
Everyone Has a Story to Tell.

It was "Spirit Week" at our school last week...a time for spiritual reflection and renewal.
Sheets of colorful paper have been hung in our back entryway as a "place of expression"
for students to share their thoughts and feelings.
Our walls really do "talk."
And they share a wonderful story.

(s)miles.

 Nine month old Miles is at such a fun age...crawling, climbing, chattering, and full of smiles.
He is absolutely precious...such a little blessing...and quite the model too!
Anytime his mommy calls...my camera is ready.

Eye See You.

If I could have gotten my lens in a little closer,
I wonder what my husband's eyes would have revealed.
These images were taken at McLean County Eye Center in preparation for updating their website,
but they also gave me a vision (pun intended) for this week's theme {view from here}.

and joshua makes four.

Two month old Joshua is an adorable addition to his family.
He was bright eyed and smilin' for these pictures.
Glorious sunlight poured through the windows to light up his cute little face...and the rest of the crew.
 sweet.  sweet.  sweet.

 Joshua and Caleb.
 Caleb and his trucks.

project 52/7.

{open your heart}
 Pull up a Chair and Open Your Heart

I was preparing to get rid of my old ice cream parlor table and chairs...
until I noticed the chairs provided the perfect frame for this week's theme.

Happy Valentines Day!

Brothers, let us love one another, for love comes from God.
Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

project 52/6.

{words}
 Sweet words.  Sweet sisters.  Sweet suckers.  Sweet time together.

When we were done with this little shoot,
Malea and Laynie jumped in the middle of all the blankets and pillows
and pretended to drive to the South Pole.
They let me go with them.
I've never been there before, so I was grateful for the opportunity.

Thanks girls,  for letting me take your pictures...and for taking me to the South Pole.
I can't wait for our next adventure.
