 Natalie and Garrett were in town this past weekend.

So I stalked them.

That's what moms with big cameras do.

At least this one does.

They didn't seem to mind.

 

 

return to five acre wood.

There's always a welcome team out at Five Acre Wood.

The deer greet us at the entrance to the drive.

The kiddos greet us at the door.

And it seems every time we go to the Petersens

we're greeted by chilly temps.

So we started inside...

...where John was warmly greeted by Tahoe!

Before too long,

we headed out onto the Petersen's amazing property

to romp and play.

 No explanation needed....

It turned out to be a beautiful day at Five Acre Wood.

We enjoyed getting to know Alex.

His sister was in my class last year,

so I knew of him,

and had heard how great he is.

Now I believe it.

You only have to be with him a short time

to see that his good looks are matched by a good heart.

We took some pictures of her this afternoon.

 It's been a little over a year since we met the Warrens for pictures.

I'm so glad we coordinated schedules and beat out the rain that was predicted.

 Jackson and Piper were all smiles and so cooperative.

Piper's little head tilt about did me in.

Totally un-posed.

It is a wonderful backdrop for family pictures.

But it's only the backdrop.

Matt, Kate, Jackson, and Piper are what make these pictures truly special.

 The Frerichs moved into a new home this summer.

So after the kiddos gave us a tour,

we started their session on the front porch

and then wandered to the park right down their street.

 I especially love some of the sibling shots.

So sweet.
