project 52/5 {complementary colors}

I made my own color wheel for this week's challenge.

Perhaps my take on the theme is too literal.

I know I'm missing a pencil or two.

Oh well.

You get the idea.



charlie's preference.

Charlie's mom had two adorable outfits all ready for his six month pictures.

But when it came right down to it

Charlie preferred nothing but his diaper.

It made it easier to chew on his toes that way.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Who needs to wear a cute outfit anyhow?

Not Charlie.

He's got enough cuteness on his own.

Fifth Grade Feet.

My students came up with the idea and the footwear for this week's theme.

Gotta love 'em.

I took some quick pictures of Nick and his girlfriend Katlyn on New Years Day.

Really cute pictures.

Then Katlyn used one of the pictures as her model and drew a picture of Nick.

A really good picture.

So I took a picture of the picture of the picture.

Did you follow all that?

Anyhow...she's quite the artist, as you can see.

And they are pretty cute together, as you can also see....

Icicle Row.

This is supposed to melt tomorrow.

I'm glad I captured it today.



little lucy.

 Maybe I should have entitled this post "Bright-eyed Lucy."

At six weeks, she's definitely alert and aware of what's going on.

There's no shortage of love at her house,

which is where we took these pictures. 

Amazing what a little window light and a black blanket can do.

Of course, it doesn't hurt to have such beautiful subjects...

 Big brother Henry loved showing us his big boy bed in his blue bedroom!

Such a cutie!

Don't you wonder what she's thinking?

A new baby is like the beginning of all things-

wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.

project 52/2 {from the attic}

 Grandma's Sewing Machine

(in need of a new needle)

I love old stuff.

Old stuff is heavy and made to last.

I bet if I did put a new needle on this thing it would work.

But I don't really have time to sew.

And I don't really remember how.

But if and when I do, I just might pull this baby out of the attic again.
