monge, party of three.

Makenzie, five days old.
She came late, but in a hurry.
Head full of hair.
Tiniest hint of a smile on her beautiful face.
Ten little fingers, ten little toes.
And a very blessed Mommy and Daddy.
I can't believe I get to capture these first fresh moments with families.
I am in awe of the miracle of life and the One who gives it.
Every time.
It never gets old.

 Beautiful feet.
Blessings to the Monges, Party of Three.

gutierrez family.

If I had this family's gorgeous stone patio, I'd never leave home.
It was the perfect place to meet for pictures.
Two year old Josie was a bit shy...but we managed to get some great smiles.
Six month old Sophia was cute as could be...and even took a little cat nap while we were there.

I'm so glad John was with me for this session.
We had two cameras going and were able to catch the girls playing from different angles.
Josie was a little unsure what to do with her lollipop.
So we gave her a quick lollipop licking lesson.
Meanwhile...Sophia was very sure what to do when she saw the camera!

project 52/12 {get a grip}

Nothing sweeter.

More pics of the Monges (including faces) coming soon.

good eye.

So I lent/gave my first DSLR (a Rebel XS if you're interested) to my son last week.
Complete with kit lenses and a brief conversation about aperture/ISO/shutter speed...
knowing he has a good eye.
Today he captured this stunning image of his girlfriend Katlyn.
I may have to hire him and let him use some better equipment.

natalie.

Gorgeous senior.
Such a delight!
We've scheduled and rescheduled a couple of times to take her senior pictures,
but finally met on a near perfect day.
The week before the wind chill was 19 degrees.
I'm so glad we waited.
Thanks for a fun session, Natalie!
I love this dress.
It's so princess-y.
Perfect for twirling in.
So she did.

project 52/11 {green}

I could not decide what to photograph for the theme "green."
I had no inspiration.
So when I came home from school today, I grabbed my camera and went in search of green.
Here's what I found...

I drink a bottle of this a day.

 Results from last night's pedicure.
Also  green grass.

 Dusty marbles.
I should have cleaned them before taking their picture.

First signs of spring.
Oh Green, how I love you.

cody.

Cody brought his cheering section along for his senior session.
We had to capture a few pictures of four generations of his family.
I love his face while the women chat behind him!

I love these pics in his firefighting gear...
