levine love.

We've met with the Levine family three times this year as they chronicle baby Lucy's first year.
Their love for each other is obvious...and shows in their images.
It won't be long until we meet again for Lucy's first the meantime...
these pictures are pretty sweet!

three sons.

We always have a good time when we take pictures of the Bornes and their three sons.
I think Gavin, Zachary, and Preston actually like it when we come over to their house!!
It's so much fun to watch these sweet little boys grow.
As their pics!

palm of his hand.

I'm a bit obsessed with this picture.
There is nothing quite as perfect as a tiny little girl sleeping in the palm of her daddy's hand.
Pretty sure though, she has him wrapped around her little finger.
This is Miss Anneka, who decided to make her grand entrance several weeks early.
She is so delicate and beautiful.
A true masterpiece.

 itty bitty parts....
 Big sissy lovely...

Congratulations to the Engles...many more family pics to come!

sugar, spice, etc.

The flowers along Constitution Trail were pretty...
but Josie and Sophie were prettier!
They are sugar, spice, and everything nice.
I love their cute little dresses and sweet little smiles!

All done.
Time for a snack!

drew {class of 2013}.

We had a great time capturing Drew's senior pictures.
After walking around downtown Bloomington,
we headed to the baseball field where he feels totally at home.
I absolutely love the baseball shots...because he's doing what he loves to do.
The warm, slow sunset didn't hurt, either!

Do what you love to do and give it your very best.
Whether it's business or baseball, or the theater, or any field.
If you don't love what you're doing and you can't give it your best, get out of it.
Life is too short. You'll be an old man before you know it.

on golden pond.

These are some of my favorite people.
Rick and Cindy Schaumburg and their beautiful, growing family.
Years and years ago,
probably in the 1980's,
I was talking with Cindy on the phone (no doubt a land line, probably with a cord).
My husband didn't know who was on the other end,
but he heard me laughing...
the big belly laugh, can't stop, snorting, gonna pee my pants kind of laughter.
When I hung up, he commented,
"You need to spend more time with whoever is on the other end of that phone."
Some of the best advice the man has ever given me!
I love this family and am grateful for decades of doing life together.
We met at the family cabin for pictures..
it's so On Golden Pond-ish.
I almost want to call them Norman and Ethel.
Eric and Dani are getting married in a few short weeks.
They absolutely radiate HaPpiNess!
Lisa and Tim have the cutest little boys.
You never know what Jack is going to say,
or where Micah is going to go...

 Everybody helped make Micah smile!!
Laura and Ryan are expecting their first baby in December.
I remember when she was the baby being born (in November),
as my own December due date approached.
The silly cliche is true.
Time flies.
In case you can't tell...
Love me some Schaumburgs!

mallory {class of 2013}.

Mallory is a natural beauty that lights up from the inside.
We've served in music ministry with her dad for years,
so it was fun to catch a few shots with her saxophone to start her senior session.

I'm not sure that she knows how lovely she is.
As we walked by the creek,
I remarked that it was too bad we didn't think to bring a towel so she could lay in the water.
She didn't hesitate.
"I'll get in the creek."
So she did.
Some of my favorite pics!
Sweet reflection.
Sweet girl!
