quick family.

If you've ever tried to organize family pictures with the WHOLE family,
you know what is required:
calendar clearing
clothing coordinating
child coaxing
It's a lot of work.
So when it rains
and rains
and rains
on the day of your family pictures,
it can be a bit, um...problematic.
That's what happened with the Quick family.
We've had their session scheduled for months,
and of course, the skies opened up and poured a generous amount of the wet stuff.
We watched the radar literally until it was time to leave,
took a chance and went for it.
Did it pay off!
Although you can see a few puddles in some of their pictures,
you would never know how gloomy the afternoon had been.
Their bright colors and bright smiles
outshine any lingering threat of rain.
By the way...whoever coaxed these kids, did a fabulous job!

owen family.

This is the second time we've had the privilege of photographing the Owen family.
Both times, John and I have remarked afterward,
"That was so much fun!"
And no particular order...
(sans serious-ness)

Lots of laughter.
Lots of teasing.
Lots of love.

so serious.

Don't be fooled.
I'll be sharing some of Addie's family pictures in the next few days.
There will be no serious-ness on her face.

matt and michelle.

While visiting Katlyn's family in Louisville last weekend,
we sneaked in a few pictures of her brother Matt and his beautiful fiancée Michelle.
It's been a blessing to get to know them over the past year,
and we wish them the best as they look forward to their wedding and marriage.
