Remembering Rosie

As I prepared for the blizzard of 2011 to hit the heartland this morning, my heart was heavy.
My mother-in-law passed away late last week.
Her memorial service is Thursday in Michigan,
and it is uncertain whether or not we'll even be able to get out of our Illinois cul de sac by then.
Always planning ahead, I began lining up my family's funeral attire in the guest room closet,
so we'll be ready if the weather cooperates.
That's when her picture caught my eye...
and almost took my breath away.
So I hung up my suit and sat down to reflect in silence about this beautiful woman
whose life is so significant to me.

Webster didn't include tears in his definition.
He probably should have.
Enough said.
