Warning:
If you politely say yes, but inwardly moan when someone asks,
"Hey, wanna see pictures of my family vacation?"
you may want to find another blog to browse!
John and I have have spent the last week on the east coast...
a couple days in Boston (of which I am not showing any pictures...yet)
and a week in Bar Harbor/Southwest Harbor, Maine,
and now are tucked safely away at a Best Western in Scranton, PA
before touring Gettysburg tomorrow.
As we've hiked (and hiked and hiked) the mountain trails and coastline,
I am again amazed at God's artistry.
We simply cannot out-create Him.
And all He creates sings His praise.
So, I've been singing as we hike.
Yes, out loud...I've been singing.
Shocker.
If you know it...
sing along.
This is my Father's world,
and to my listening ears
all nature sings, and round me rings
all nature sings, and round me rings
the music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world:
I rest me in the thought
of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
his hand the wonders wrought.
This is my Father's world,
the birds their carols raise,
the morning light, the lily white,
declare their maker's praise.
This is my Father's world:
he shines in all that's fair;
in the rustling grass I hear him pass;
he speaks to me everywhere.
This is my Father's world.
O let me ne'er forget
that though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the ruler yet.
This is my Father's world:
why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King; let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let the earth be glad!
We took a little cruise and stopped at Little Cranberry Island
where we were greeted by these entrepreneurs.
I bought a handmade postcard
and half a glass of lemonade (it was all they had left).
I don't think they know I snapped their picture.
Adorable.
Two cameras.
All week.
Lots of pictures.
Thanks for looking at these few.
